Hey Family

Hey so I may or may not have forgotten that it was transfers this
week.... Oops. So I am emailing today! And also I am getting
transferred :( But even though I am very sad to leave this ward I know
that this is what God wants me to do. But this week has been full of
miracles! Aurora is just fantastic!

She went on line this week to look up things about the church. And she came to us with a list of questions that she had found. Most of them were the usual ones about polygamy and coke. She also found lots of anti things on there too. But she told us that she could not get Sister Walkers Voice out of her head. Telling her to remember how she felt and to see if the things felt good. And she told us that the things on the Internet did not make her feel the same peace that she felt when we told her the first vision. I feel so blessed to have had a chance to meet such a wonderful daughter of God. I feel truly blessed that I have this chance to serve the Lord. Then we had stake conference and Elder Jones of the Seventy came and spoke. He did so amazing! He talked all about 3 Nephi and the character of Christ. He spoke of how much the savior loves and knows us. This topic was especially important to me and sister Walker. Because the day before we had gone to the house of a Less active, and she informed us that she was leaving the church. I can not tell you the pain and sadness that filled my heart when she told us this. When we asked her why she turned in the Book Of Mormon to 3 Nephi. And during chapters 6-9 when the cities of the wicked are destroyed, and the voice of Christ is heard, she told us that that was not the Christ that she believed in. The Christ she believed in did not just kill people, and no matter what we said did, or what scriptures we used she would not open her heart. Even when Sister Walker gave the promise as a servant of God that if she would go to Stake Conference Elder Jones

would Talk about her concern. She still refused to come, and I as told you that promise was fulfilled. Again I will never be able to describe the depth of the sorrow and pain that I felt that day. To know that someone I loved was turning her back on the Book of Mormon and in turn the Savior (though she believes she is not) broke my heart. I am not a crier but that day I wept, and had a glimpse, just a glimpse in to how or Heaven Father feels when we turn from him. I love this work and I pray that all of you stay true to the faith. I have seen what it is like for people when they don't have the spirit with them. And I would not wish that life on anyone. They may seem happy but you can feel the difference in there lives. I love you all and will write you soon! And I will try and get you my new address. Love you!!!! Love sister Chatwin

Exciting week!

Well this has been a very exciting week! June is almost over and time
just keeps going faster! We have seen many miracles this week, and I
am so grateful for the chance that God has given me to serve him. It
is crazy to think that in 3 months from today I will be home. I am
amazed that it has gone by so fast! But I am still trying to learn and
try to find people who are prepared for the gospel. As always time is
short and so lets get going to the Stories of the week!
Story 1 The Tale of the
Breakfast So there is this one less active that we have been trying to see since I got to this area. And a few weeks ago we finally were able to contact her. After talking with her she invited us to come to her house for breakfast. So this past Friday we went to her house, for the breakfast. It all tasted very good and she made this Egg Mcmuffin thing on a beagle that had green chilly on it! I love green chilly! Mom we will have to come back and I will show you what real Mexican food is! Well any way we had a great lesson and went home. At home things turned for the worst. I got sick and had to lay down and sleep for a few hours. We are not sure what is was but we think that is may have been the large quantities of fatty things. There was tons of bacon on the beagle which had been toasted with butter, and eggs that were dripping with cheese. Also apparently the chocolate milk was whole milk and I did not notice it. But things are better and later that night we helped a Less active clean her house. So everything worked out!

Story 2 The Tale of Our Many Miracles Again this week has been so amazing! We have truly seen the hand of the Lord in this work. First off is one with our investigator Aurora. She has been going through some very hard times. But she has recognized that meeting with us has been helping her to feel better. She also knows that is not us who is making things better. Apparently she has told a few of her friends that she is meeting with us. And when anyone says this your heart automatically sinks because this usually means that they are not going to listen to us any more. She said that they started to tell her about how we are terrible people who lie and lure people in with lies. But she has truly felt the spirit wittiness to her heart that we are none of thoughts awful things. She told us that she just stopped listening to them, and that she knows that what we are saying is some thing good and that has helped her. She said that she remembered the time that we shared the Joseph Smith story and the peace and calm that came over her then. She said that she wants to be baptized and to have that peace in her life always!!! I love her so much and I am truly blessed that I get the chance to work with her and her family. And Aurora and her son Miguel are on date for July 12 for baptism! So pray for them! The next miracle was the Begay family. I told you how we felt like we needed to go see her and she was having a bad day. Then she accepted to take the lessons. Well on Sunday night we felt prompted again to go see them. And we find Tina sitting on the stairs, she had apparently just got home from work. so we went in and started talking with her and her husband.
We shared a message about how much Heavenly Father loves them. And Thermun ( Tinas husband) Just started to cry and told us that he wants his family to be together forever. Tina also told us that the first day we stopped by she had been praying for help from God. And that she knows that we are truly the answer to her prayers. She also accepted baptism for July 18! So pray for her also !! Well I have to run but I love y'all so much and will try to make you all proud in the last 3 months of my mission! Have a great week and I cant wait to hear from y'all soon!!!

SUMMER FUN?

Hello my family!
Well this has just been a good week. Not much out of
the ordinary just talking and teaching people about Jesus. Um yeah we
have been mostly walking around trying to find people to talk to and
teach. The excitement if having a new person in the ward has kind of
died down. Things have been just a little slower this past week and
lots of our appointments have fallen through. Summer fun seems to
always get in the way of missionary work. But that is ok and I know
that Heavenly Father will be there to help us.
This morning I was reading from the conference ensign, and I read The Witness By President Boyd K. Packer. And he talks about the things that are most worth knowing. And that got me thinking, what are the things that are the most worth knowing for me. Well mostly I know that Jesus is my savior. I know that I am a child of God. And I know that i am so grateful for my family ! I love y'all so much! And I miss you all more than you can even imagine! I know that my emails have been kind of short lately but that is because nothing has really happened. Bu I do love you so much!! And I cant wait to see you in less than 100 days!! I cant wait to hear from you all soon! Love Sister Chatwin

Happy June!

Hello Family! How are y'all doing? I hope that you had a great week
and that you are not melting in the summer heat... Especially Makall.
It is not only hot down there but insanely humid.. Yuck :P Things here
have been hot but not to bad, not nearly as hot as last summer in El
Paso. But I have already gotten my first sun burn of the summer! It is
not even bad but because I am so white everyone thinks that I am
dying. But I am not so dont worry ;) Well this has been a pretty calm
week we have seen a few people and have seen miracles like we always
do. Here are just a few :)

Story 1 The Tale of the Man Who Waited

As we were going through former investigators we found a man named
Gerard. It said that he had given up on God long ago but that he was
willing to
meet with missionaries. We have been trying to see him for a while with no luck. Till this past week and we actually caught him at home. He says that God has not made any contact with him in 60 years and that he is just waiting for God to say or do something. That made me think of D&C 9 "Behold, you have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you, when you took no thought save it was to ask me.But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right." God is not going to just give us the easy way out. He wants to see how much we truly want an answer. I told this to Gerard and we gave him a Book Of Mormon. We will be meeting with him this week and I know that if he truly wants to know. That God will give him the answer that he has been waiting for for 60 years.

Story 2 The Tale of The Coca family

So Aurora and her family are doing so very good! We taught them this
past Thursday and the kids came to mutual again! The are beginning to
see how the gospel can truly bless there family. We are meeting with
them this next Thursday so we hope to help them come to church this
Sunday! Also Aurora is going to go to the scout pack meeting this
Wednesday!! That is such a big step, because she does not like to
leave her house! But I am so grateful that go let us find them!

Well that really was the most exciting parts of my week. We have been
tracting a lot. Because Sister Walker likes it.... I am not that big
of a fan of it. But I know that we need to find people and it is
really the only thing that we can do. Oh well! I love y'all so much
and I hope that you have a great week! And I cant wait to hear from
y'all soon!!

Love ya
